About Us:

We are a family-run bespoke interiors company specialising in the design, manufacture and installation of high-quality kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and media walls. Due to continued growth, we are looking to recruit an experienced Bench Joiner / Factory Manager to join our team.

The Role:

This is a hands-on role within a small workshop team (2–3 people), combined with responsibility for helping organise, manage and grow the manufacturing side of the business.

Duties will include a combination of bench joinery, workshop management, deliveries, and occasional on-site support.

Bench Joinery

• Manufacturing bespoke cabinets and furniture to a high standard.

• Working from technical drawings, job sheets and cutting lists.

• Operating woodworking machinery (panel saw, edge bander, routers, etc.).

• Assembly of cabinets and fitted furniture components.

• Ensuring all work meets required quality standards before installation.

Factory / Workshop Management

• Organising day-to-day workflow within the workshop.

• Managing multiple jobs and prioritising workloads.

• Ensuring projects are completed on time to meet installation schedules.

• Overseeing a small team of 2–3 staff within the factory.

• Maintaining a clean, safe and efficient working environment.

• Monitoring stock levels and materials.

• Ensuring materials are available for upcoming jobs.

Deliveries & Site Support

• Assisting with loading and unloading of completed furniture.

• Carrying out deliveries to customer sites when required.

• Ensuring items arrive on site in good condition and ready for installation.

• Occasionally supporting installation teams on site where needed.

Growth & Development

• Working closely with the business owner to improve and expand the manufacturing side of the company.

• Helping introduce better organisation, structure and efficiency.

• Supporting the long-term goal of growing in-house production.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced bench joiner / cabinet maker.

• Able to work independently and take responsibility.

• Organised and capable of managing multiple projects.

• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.

• Positive attitude and ability to lead by example.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum 5 years bench joinery experience.

• Experience working from drawings and specifications.

• Good understanding of cabinet construction methods.

• Confident using workshop machinery.

Desirable

• Previous supervisory or workshop management experience.

• Experience within kitchen or fitted furniture manufacturing.

• Strong organisational skills and ability to improve processes.

This is a hands-on role within a small team, not a purely managerial position.
